Finally. My white whale of game collecting. One of the holy grails of SNES collecting. And its finally mine. There’s always plenty available online but the problem is finding an authentic one. And after many attempts and failed bidding the piece is finally mine all mine!

This bad boy is a beast of its own. Turok was a popular franchise for the Nintendo 64. By the end of the N64’s lifespan, the fourth installment was ready to debut. On its release, the game was released in a black cartridge. But soon after the release it was discovered there was a glitch in the game that prevented the game from being completed in cooperative mode. The developers made a fix for the glitch but the only way to obtain the fix was to send in your copy of the game and get a replacement that came in a grey cart. Needless to say, not many people did so. Not to long ago a crate of these bad boys was found and now a copy has landed in my hands!

It’s an official North American release. It will play in your Super Nintendo. Strangely enough, this game was only released in Mexico and other Latin American countries. It was released in America under a different title with a different sku. Unfortunately, no one really seeks this game. I still don’t understand why. Regardless, this game is really hard to find. In all my years of collecting, I’ve only seen it up for sale twice. But nonetheless, it is one of the toughest in the collecting bucket list.
